Practice Areas and Experience

Experienced:

We have been providing legal services to Umatilla and Morrow Counties (Hermiston, Pendleton, Boardman, Heppner and related areas) with a focus on criminal law defense and family law since 1997.  We have successfully litigated numerous cases.  We work diligently to negotiate and resolve your case without you having the stress of dealing with the opposing party, an attorney representing the other side, the prosecuting attorney or an insurance company.   If we are unable to settle your case outside of the courtroom, Mr. Ballard is an experienced courtroom lawyer who aggressively defends your interests.

DUII Defense:

We can help with DUII defense for both drug and alcohol DUIs, and DMV Implied Consent Hearings.  Our legal team is experienced in all criminal matters from violations to felonies and can help with circuit court and municipal court appearances.  Did you now you only have 10 days from the date of arrest to request your DMV Implied Consent hearing?   Our firm has handled numerous DUII cases  over the years and understands what it takes to negotiate or litigate a successful DUII case.

Criminal Law:

Our legal team provides professional and affordable criminal defense representation to  people facing a wide range of charges.  We handle all types of criminal charges ranging from misdemeanor offenses to the most serious felonies.  Understanding your legal rights and responsibilities are a large part of the resolution of criminal matters.  If you believe you may be facing a criminal charge, have been contacted by any law enforcement agency, or just questioning what your options are it is better to speak with legal counsel sooner rather than later.   Our firm has represented many individuals before any criminal charges were even filed, this is not always an option, but even if you don't think you may need legal help at this time it is better to speak with a lawyer now.

Divorce & Custody:

The do-it-yourself court forms are certainly available, but these do not give you the expertise and training of a highly skilled and educated individual on your side.  You can't tell by looking at the forms what you may be missing.  Our legal team has seen far too many cases where you filed using the court provided forms and the case fully resolved, only to find out later, sometimes years later, your  legal rights were not protected.  For this reason, we strongly suggest to all individuals to seek legal advice prior to preparation of their own do-it-yourself type of case.  Our firm will give you direct answers to direct questions.
